GX CS2 compressor fed from shop compressor

Newb here. I just bought a GX CS2 compressor. I'm doing what I can to remove moisture and was wondering if I can feed filtered pre-compressed air from a standard shop compressor to the CS2 and if this would be a good idea. I have a long run in my shop lines with lots of water separation and thought that (force) feeding the CS2 with drier air might be worth investigating, but I'm not sure if this would put undue stress on the little CS2. Thoughts?

If you look at my sig picture you'll see my GX CS2 being fed nitrogen through thr intake in the handle it's 1/2" npt under the cap
I just read your thread on this. Fantastic idea! I'm so glad you replied. I like the nitrogen idea better than air. Are there any downsides?

We're practically neighbors - I'm in the Maltby area and there's a Central Welding nearby. Sounds like I just need a bottle, regulator, hoses and fittings. I can delete the desiccant filters out of my Amazon cart!
