Thanks, Dog.My CS2 came with rust in the fill hose, dirty filter in the fill block, with crooked fitting, miss drilled, on same block. It did come with the PSI gauge. Jason replaced the hose and block. The hose, block (no filter) and the input side of my media filter are water logged after a 15 minute run on high humidity days.
Hose and filters are pulled after each session finished to dry to avoid said rust and that I'm a bit anal in taking care of my gear I too need to replace the crappy foster fittings. Each to their own in the order of hose, filters. I did check the block gauge for accuracy so do use it to back up one on rifle tank(s). I did not have any luck with my coalescent filter but one amazon reviewer said it worked fine on these low flow pumps.
I get great use out of this filter using cotton first, then 3A Molecular Sieve Desiccant. The stuff is cheap so refill when needed.
Yeah, the one thing I failed to do is take a pic of the outer piston when I had it out of the cylinder. Will be doing that soon, as per several requests here.Thanks. The link to the thread is helpful. S7
The EL2 is different, but no, the block is awkward, but makes water removal from lines much easier. I remove mine at base of pump, fire it up and water spits out! This was where a lot of rust was found when first received from sitting and transport to the states? I add my external filter after the block and use extension whip from filter to the gun tank. Everything lays on the bench, nothing to hold and makes cleanout easy after long session. My extension whip has smaller foster style female than the block. Thanks, Dog.
Does the block at the end of the hose bother you? All further models moved it to the unit. Besides it being a bit unwieldily, I worry that it will pop and either scratch a gun or whack me in the head. I have to get close to read the gauge when the unit is running, and my hand is always on it. S7
