GX CS2 Compressors......

Has anyone used one of these compressors for any length of time?? Also wondering if there are any sub $1k ones available that are made in the US. Thanks!.....

Oil less & water less equals heat and heat equals shorter lifespan. By the time you've replaced it a few times you could have bought a better quality that would still be running without all the headaches of repairs/replacement. This is just my take on these style compressors as I don't have one. My son however does and I am keeping a close eye on how long it takes to kick over. I am hoping for his sake that I am wrong, but 35 years in industrial maintenance type work tells me I'm not.

Kraemer99, welcome to the forum! Many, many discussions on this and other compressors priced from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars are contained and this site. I do have that compressor. I only need it to fill one rifle so use it about every other day. I make sure it's started and running before I close the bleed valve, it fills my rifle in about 4 or 5 minutes, no complaints so far. I bought it on Amazon with a three year warranty so we'll see how it goes. I've only had it a few months so far.

I have one of those compressors labeled Xisico.

It does take oil to lube the bottom end.

If you use it to fill the tube on a rifle and the run time is less than three minutes, it will get barely warm.

If you use it to fill SCUBA tanks and the like, don't expect it last very long.

I should also add I fill in my basement that it pretty much always 68-70 degrees. The compressor barely feels warm when I'm done.
