If it was me I wouldn’t want to ruin/modify my wrench that I may need in it’s unmodified condition in the future, so I would go to Harbor Freight and buy a single open end wrench or set and grind it down. Just my 2¢.
Or, pull back the collar on your Foster fitting and you will see a spring clip. Carefully remove the retaining clip and the sleeve will slide off and then the spring and balls will fall out. Just do it over a towel or bowl so that you do not lose the balls. Then your wrench will fit easily, and then you can reassemble the spring balls, collar and retainer.

They're easy to remove, should give you clearance. The ball bearings are tiny & easy to lose if you're not careful.

If you have a reasonably steady hand you can use a cutoff wheel in an inexpensive right angle grinder to reduce the wrench thickness.
