Can you share a pic for us? Mine came bare a couple of weeks ago, but perhaps they have added plastic caps or similar to protect them?Gentlemen, I need advice. I bought the CS4 a few days ago and I started setting it up. I decided to use distilled water, not antifreeze. But here is my issue. I looked at the power inverter and the 2 posts that the clips are to be attached to, seem to be insulated with a rubber coating. I do not feel that the posts are to be turned. Am I to attach the battery clips to these posts that seem to be insulated and get power? Any help is appreciated!

You are correct, DW carries heat away better than PG, EG, or even WW. However...At the advice of FLgunner, I recently joined in and bought the CS4 compressor also
I read through the instructions...twice, make sure I wasn't going to screw up anything, that's a lot of pressure in the system. Got some "clean" water that I use in my cars.
NO...antifreeze of any brand or type.
If the system is clean, and you use fresh distilled water, the cooling system "WILL" work better than if using any type of antifreeze. Antifreeze does NOT transfer heat. Again, antifreeze does NOT transfer heat, water does. Look it up to verify for yourself !!!
The little radiator (heat transfer device !) is cute !
So...unless you run your compressor system, outside in 32° weather...there is NO need for antifreeze.
If you want a pump lubricant, you can buy that separate in most auto parts stores, but again...THAT also...not transfer heat.
I did notice that the water reservoir did have drops in a few places. While I did not lean over to smell it, there was no obvious odor. The water drops were clear. This just tells me that the compressor was tested before it got packaged. That's a good thing.
After filling the system, I did look for any "junk" in the water, nothing visible, appeared clean, so I didn't fill and dump as some of you have. But I will keep tabs, so to speak to watch for any garbage in the water.
I did do the fill, pressure test, watching for leaks...all good. The system is a lot quieter than I thought it might be. Not afraid to use it in the house now.
While I am going to get a moisture separator, I may give the system a go on one of my guns that just dumped it's air a few weeks back, just to see what happens.
With the four stage pump, it also fills faster than I thought it would, after reading the specs., on other compressors. The sound also, is again, quieter than other pumps claim.
So yeah...so far so good. Good purchase.

Yes, I get air/water from around the threads in the venting knob. I feel this is normal, as the threads feel pretty coarse.Just filled my Great White tank with my CS4. Tank was completely empty as i just got it back from testing. it took around 6 hrs to fill it to 4500psi. I blead it every 20 mins. While bleeding it I noticed that a bit of water would come out of the bleed valve itself along with coming out the bleed tube. Is it normal to come out the valve? When filling was complete I took my Tuxing gold filter apart and it had a few drops of water in the bottom of the filter. Took the filter element out and the first cotton type disk was barely damp. I did stop at the 4 hour mark and let the compressor cool for a few hours.i noticed a small leak on one of the fittings on my filter at the 4 hour mark and tightened it up. Not sure how much time the leak added to the process. Overall I’m pleased with the CS4.

Mine blew before even getting to 3600 psi. It happened twice, the third try I put two burst disks in and it works fine. I only have two burst disks left so I got out my calipers to measure and they are 7mm .For current owners, does the CS4 ship with a spare burst disc?
Has anyone sourced the proper one for replacement? Know the diameter?

I've just got these in from Amazon to try next time mine blows. Which happened twice in succession during first use! With these I'm also going to double up as I mentioned before in a post that a single one in my CS4 were blowing at 3600 psi. My right ear is still suffering the effects of hearing loss.
2 burst disks is the same as not having a safety system. You dont know what the burst pressure is. Not safe.
