GX CS4 compressor

No, it is a coalescing filter inside the case under the cover.
Does it automatically drain somewhere or have a manual bleed off? I have a relative that is looking into one to fill his FX Crown but lives in a tropical environment where humidity averages 80, and wonder if he would need to add another filter or if the coalescing filter would be adequate.

Yes compressing air will create moisture. ESP if you are in a humid environment. It may not have much to bleed if it’s just run for 2-3 min. But anything longer and you will get some moisture when you bleed the compressor to disconnect it from your rifle.
I would still run an additional water separator/filter. I did a fill this past weekend and thought just to be careful I would run my JB Alpha Filter. I'm glad I did as moisture was getting past the CS4 "separator/filter" and when I bled it I got a couple of sprays every 7 minutes. It left a small puddle under the Alpha Filter when I was done. Don't take a chance and expect it stop all moisture. I also have a new issue as when I moved the CS4 there is a puddle of coolant under it.

Well, for better or worse, I've just ordered the CS4, for $603: on sale, 10% discount, free shipping & no tax charged. Let's see how this goes. I'm hoping it will replace my Tuxing twin cylinder. It is so loud & vibrates so much, it's really hard to read the gauge on it and the family complains about the noise. Plus, it leaked almost all its oil out a few months ago; I drained & cleaned it, struggled to get the gasket back in place (others have said they seem to shrink, which I would agree with), and put a little oil in it. No leaks since, but I haven't had time to fill it up & try again.

Though double the price, I really hope the CS4 is the ticket for my modest air needs. The videos show it being so quiet, I'm hoping to use it in my basement, rather than my hot & humid garage. I have 30- and 45-minute SCBAs, though I'm open to directly filling my guns as well, keeping the tanks in standby mode.

Where did you order from for that price...? I'm looking to get one myself......Thanks

Well you will really like it. I have one that has about 1.0 hrs on it. I also have its bigger brother, the Omega Aircharger. It’s got 20 hrs on it. You just have to keep the check valve clean every 2-3 hrs. The Cs-4 is taking some of the burden from the Aircharger..I think they are great compressors. They give hours of unlimited air As I have many bottles from 3ltr to 6.8ltr. Plus my FX m3 .35 loves air!! Lol😝

I ordered direct from GX Pumps (link is in this or one of the other threads). Sale price is $670, 10% off code is on the web page. The Amazon price mentioned above is based on $629(?) Prime price, with a coupon, but doesn’t include any applicable sales tax (GX doesn’t charge sales tax).
Me too
I bought from the GSX website for exactly that reason.
They shipped it quickly and it is now on the kitchen counter for testing.
So far the water tank will only take tiny sips
Currently it only has 100cc of the needed 500cc in,
I do not think it wise to actually start the compressor until the tank is full

Patience, my only virtue, is being tested
