GX CS4 compressor

Jason Song from GX had the following to say:" Hello The black sealing film does not affect the work, it is used for refueling, just asked the engineer, he said to remove the black film, wipe off the grease inside, don’t install the refueling screw, empty the drain, he suspects You added too much grease , which caused the primary valve plate to be stuck, and the gas that went in also came out. The slow pressure rise is not compatible with this diaphragm."

Too much grease wasn't the problem. I don't have a clue what he is saying about not affecting the work?

I'm guessing he's trying to say the black diaphragm doesn't seal the air system, so the "work" of compressing air is not affected. Then again, he says, "The slow pressure rise is not compatible with this diaphragm," which implies it does seal the low pressure part of the system. He says to remove the diaphragm - how easy does that seem? I'm concerned with yours wrinkling & tearing after only adding grease one time.

I cleaned up the diaphragm and placed it back where it was. The edges are torn a little and has left small pieces of rubber behind. I was able to get them out. The CS4 seems to be working as it should. I don't know how long that will last. It amazes me that I can't order a few of those to have around. This is undoubtedly the major problem dealing with this Chinese stuff without a reliable dealer to help out if needed. We will have to hope nothing breaks that isn't in the kit they supplied. I fear we won't see decent parts support for awhile if ever.

Agreed.

How was the diaphragm attached? I haven't had time to snoop around in mine yet.
It just lays at the bottom of the cylinder that the grease pot screws into. My guess is that someone over tightened the grease pot which then started to shred the rubber diaphragm. The diaphragm has a very small hole which matches the hole that the piston cover has in it. I believe the diaphragm acts as a limiter for the grease as you turn the top of the grease pot. I hesitate to leave it out, it was put in there for some reason.

My compressor arrived the other day but I'm having issues with connecting it to my copper colored coalescing filter.

I unscrewed the foster fitting on the compressor and tried to fit the fitting that comes with the coalescing filter. The threads do seem compatible (they screw right into my Yong Heng), but there is no way to get a wrench or socket in there to tighten it down. I could take the cover off, but I doubt it will go back on with the coalescing hose on there.

Any ideas?

Has anyone been able to buy parts for the CS4? I need the black rubber diaphragm that sits at the bottom of the grease chamber. Mine has become wrinkled and torn. THe compressor is very slow to pump up and I can see that it is leaking from that area. I don't see CS4 parts listed anywhere.
Have you tried Target Forge? https://targetforge.net/

You need something like this

Thanks for the link, I've never seen sockets like that before. They are kind of pricey though, so I wondering if it could be cheaper to buy a line that has a foster fitting on one end and the correct fitting on the other end, to connect to the filter - I just have no idea what that screw on fitting is called that connects to the filter.

Here's the filter I'm referring to.

Maybe one of these sets?: https://www.harborfreight.com/38-in-metric-crowfoot-flare-nut-wrench-set-7-piece-68999.html Oops, never mind….took a better look at your pics and see the connection is below the cover and these won’t do it😖.
