GX cs4 cs4-i duty cycle update from Manufacturer

I have added a radiator and computer fans, I got the idea on here and I will find his name for credit. This was done after the 5 hour run just for the hell of it. In that 5 hours judging from touch it was no warmer at 5 hours then 30 minutes .
I got this from “ hotspark” he was having an actual problem

I don't know if he ever blead out the factory one, if not, high temps would definitely occur.

You can actually feel the air blowing out warmer at the bottom and cooler at the top when there is air trapped in the radiator.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
Also... was the water properly filled to get rid of the air pocket?
Yes it was. I ran it for several minutes and then topped off the water again with distilled water. I'll try removing any air out of the system next. I frequently held my hand in front of the air exhaust and while it was warm, it was never hot.

Follow that video, just filling without tilting it will not get the air pocket cleared. Only easy way I know of to get it completely filled is by tilting it while the pump is running.

Ok at 3:30 hours at 79.6 f 3327psi went upstairs to watch a show with wife. Came back at 4:30 hours and it wasn’t filled.
I suspect a leak in the new valve that I quickly put on . Anyway at 4:30 hours it’s 82 degrees f , 4100 psi.
Filling the 6.8 is going to take longer than the 9. Maybe didn’t tighten something.

Ok final results, why did it take longer than the 9 liter.
We‘ll see overnight, ohhh forget that , I’m watching the huma gauge
go down . So it did get to 4500 psi in 5:20 81.6 degrees f
at least an hour too long.

no it didn’t turn off
that's awful, fill up a tank and take so long and then it's leaking out.. I'd be very frustrated..
probably took longer to fill because of the leak..
a note I'd take from that is if I was to work on a bottle, guess it should be aired up to 100-500 and then soap test for leaks..
lots of time on the compressor and then probably wasted overnight leaking out. likely whatever the leak is, probably have to be empty and change a o ring or something..

Just to clarify... it's just a "recommendation" for the cs4. Not that you can't do it. As seen, these can still run 5hrs. I do not see any issues doing so.

It is mostly the paintball and airsoft guys wanting faster fill times, so the k5 is offered up.

Bleed the air from the radiator and these things will chug along without issue. Just be sure to purge the water trap every now and then.

All considered but you see I have a mobility problem. Ankle surgery Monday and not as good as I used to be on crutches.
I had to painfully hop to rig up and had a better valve but this was in reaching distance..
Worse , I just looked post op instructions and it will be non weight bearing for at least 8 weeks. Bummer

Turns out it was my Huma digital gauge hose fitting that was leaking. Still gonna replace the one in the tank now. The main shut off is kinda small to handle.

Hopefully your better by summer, being laid up at that time is no fun, especially if you like doing outdoor activities in the without freezing.

And glad you found the leak, at least it was something simple.

I'll be interested in your results. Last Friday I received my GX CX4-I and tried topping off my Luxfer 106 from 250BAR to 300BAR. After 45 minutes the unit turned itself off. It continued to turn itself off after every 5-6 minutes all the way to 300BAR which it finally completed over 1 hour later. I thought this pump would go over 5 hours. I'm definitely feeling misled. I have until 15 March to return it though.

Well, my GX CX4-I turned itself off after a while (irregular times, 15min, 25min, etc.).

I lived with it for a while. Finally, the inevitable trip to my gunsmith...:

Result: The water pump wasn't working — easily detected by observing the return hole not chugging out cooling liquid into the reservoir when pumping. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Forget warranty claims, I'm in Peru. 🤷🏻‍♂️

AliExpress has the water pump for a handful of dollars. 👍🏼

Nice to know that it's an easy fix and the machine shut itself off prior to destroying itself. I have a new JTS version still sitting in the box downstairs.
