Yeah, I'm not a fan of those vibration meters. I can see them being set off by something else or just not reading correctly. Your best bet is a 12vdc hardwired meter. No guessing then.

That's the exact same meter I have accept mine is the same color as the compressor. There's two modes of operation, kind of like a fine and a course setting. I have mine on the course setting. On the fine setting just shooting in my basement range would start it recording time. Kind of a pain in the a$$ to get it set correctly but it seems to work okay once you do.

Maybe my problem as I’m a bass player and work on bass lines for hours at a time in the same room where my compressor is…..bet that’s the problem!
