GX cs4 normal operating temperature

I recorded some temps on mine. See page 1 & 2 of my thread:

Did you flush it really good with distilled water first? Mine had a lot of floating debris I flushed out of it by filling it, running the pump for a few minutes, dumping it and repeating the process a couple more times before I added the coolant and used it to fill anything. If you still have debris in the system, it could be hindering the cooling if it blocking any of the passageways in the radiator.

I flushed it and it wasn't that bad. Coolant was flowing very well. I will drain it and clean it again tonight. I have plenty of coolant.

You could go less antifreeze if your not going to have it in an area where it'll suffer from a hard freeze.

Water cools better then AF. But you'll still want the corrosion protection it provides. I run 20% AF to water in mine.

I'm just curious on a max, from what I've uncovered on the web before I decided to buy this one it seems to have a over temp switch in there somewhere. I have a yong heng, it's faster but more of a project than I want to deal with every time I want to fill my tanks and guns. Also like that with the gx can run it off a vehicle if need be.

Incorrect. Without something like WW or AF to prevent corrosion, DW alone will eat up the aluminum over time.

A proper 90/10 or 80/20 DW/AF mix or 8 ml of WW is needed to prevent corrosion and algae growth.

Less AF DOES cool better, as you are alluding to. a 50/50 mix cools more poorly than a 80/20, so I would only go 50/50 if my compressor was outside in freezing temps.

A key thing to watch out for is air bubbles caught in the tube coming out of the bottom of the reservoir. This will cause the water to not flow well. As long as you open the top and see good water flow, you're good (or add LEDs to your water lines as I did in my post linked above).

If you happen to notice a lack of flow, turn the power off and on a time or three, essentially "burping" the air out of the line, and it should flow freely again. You can also stick a chopstick or straw into the bottom opening, but I prefer the power button myself.

Are you sure the water is flowing? Can you see movement in the reservoir when the fan is running?
