GX CS4 water seperator

Can you hook an external water seperator up to a GX4? I hooked mine up and it seem to want to pressure up super slow. This is what I have.

If you have an 8mm foster Q/D female..yeah. that's. Little voluminous for a single cylinder. Just make sure you're ordering one with the proper wall thickness and burst discs for 300+ bar.

I got it all hooked up but it seems to be causing the compressor to strain way to much!!

It's gonna take a little bit to get up to pressure. So dont be worried by the delay in your bottle starting to take on air pressure

You now have the additional volume of the filter to fill with air and reach the pressure of what you are trying to fill. This will lengthen the fill time as everything equalizes, but once the line and filter are up to pressure to open the foster on the airgun, the remainder of the fill should go smoothly.

Agreed with all the above, but just for kicks, see if those Foster nipples have filters in them. I came across a few that were very restricted so I removed them.

Yeah the cs4 is the equivalent of the Trail

M50 instructions state male foster fitting is inlet, female outlet. Plastic insert should have desiccant at male foster end, activated charcoal at female foster, single "O" ring installed as shown in your photo. Vertical placement is best, inlet low, outlet high. WM

I just bought this same filter for my CS4, and am planning on removing the activated carbon and replacing it with silica gel. Then I will be able to have a visual of what amount of moisture is getting into the filter. Anyone else used this filter in the same way? Thinking of adding a check valve to slow down air movement through the filter.

Can confirm that compressor with that filter is like filling 2 guns alone. There's workarounds for this, but i dont want to get op hurt if they were curious about the ability of using that filter dryer.

I have the same setup. I only use that filter when filling air tanks. If I am filling an airgun, I would just connect it directly. I think the description states it has a built in oil and water separator but who knows how good it is.
