Gx cs4i unneeded temperature gauge

Just wanting to see the insides I bought a temperature gauge to hookup . From previous running of the machine I don’t think it’s needed.
I m curious to see from ambient to what a high temp is. Probe is only shimmed in under safety thermocouple? on top of head. I thought it was real clean and neat inside. If you ever wanted to add cooling , looks easy.

however this pump is not built to run like the fast noisy run hot ones. I’m playing with it.

ps. The zip ties are ugly and temporary. I briefly was worried about breaking a warranty but the truth is I never cared or used a warranty
( maybe a car was used ) and never pay for extended. So the filters will be mounted properly today. THERE I talked myself right into that.

You need a temp gauge. if I didn't have a temp gauge I would not have known that my water pump was not working as a 200 bar fill was at a higher temp than my 350bar fills had been the day before. Made me look glad I had one
Well I got one now. But still only curious. I’m not sitting there watching it.
Set the fill shutoff and do something else. If something goes wrong and I don’t hear something.
Oops.

So far at 30 hrs the hottest mines got is 93f, usually stays at 85 or 86f. Even filling my 45 min tank non stop it never went over 93f. That was from 0 psi to 4300 psi on 1st fill. Now fill from 3,000 to 4300. Mine has the external power.
That sounds pretty cool. I have the 4i , I read somewhere the power supply runs hot.
Just ran for 1 hour 10 minutes. The starting temp was 66F ending was 114 . Filled a 9 liter
from around 3500 psi to 4500.
That doesn’t seem hot for a machine Thats running for over an hour pushing air.

The external power supply has little rubber feet on it. I read somewhere that a guy got his hot but turns out he was laying it on carpet while using the compressor. Long as your laying it on a flat level hard surface it should be fine. As far as knowing if your water pump is working or not, you can remove the crazy looking 4 legged plug with the little read dot in the middle from inside the water tank cap. It's just pressed in from the underside. You can twist and pull it out with pliers. I did this along with installed 6 LED lights in some 3D printed brackets that snap over the lower water line underneath the tank. Now I can look down through the top of the tank and "SEE" the water flowing back into the tank through the return line.

Mine was getting 155°- 158°f after about an hour of running. I have the worse luck with things. I have since added an external computer radiator with a pancake fan. Not pretty, but barely gets over 85°f filling 30 minute 4500 psi scba bottles from 0.
yes please show how you have it mounted,
thx

not bad, not bad at all.
my wheels are turning.
It works. I move it from the shelf it lives on to the counter where I fill my bottles, so it doesn't get moved a lot. You could get some 90°s and put it in front of the unit. Then use the built-in fan. Probably work just as well.
I read all the reviews and was encouraged by the duty cycle and how cool everyone said/says they run. As my luck would have it, mine never over heated but ran right at the threshold. For another $25 in parts from Amazon, I feel a little better chance of longevity. I did get warranty but don't want to have to deal with it.

i am repeating myself , I apologize. When new ( only a couple weeks ago ) I filled a 9 liter bottle from 0 to 4500 psi. Took 5 hours 10 minutes. No burping no stops. Nothing on unit more than warm. That was the grease port and the water fill.
Im not worried about warranty so I attached the tall gold filters and on the other side I think I’ll do something like you have.
Just to tinker, not worried about resale value.
Question , is that a little radiator you can buy ?
