Does anyone have any experience with this compressor? This is the first compressor I am seeing that runs on its own battery. That would be an absolute game changer for me in the field. At the moment I am bringing my small orange Chinese compressor to my truck, walking back and forth from the truck to refill. It isn’t really a fun process. If anyone has anything to say about this compressor I am all ears! Thanks!

It uses Makita batteries, so spares are inexpensive. I use the EL3. It's pretty much a CS3 inside

I have had the EL-2 (single battery) for six months and have had no issues at all. It fills my Revere in about 2 minutes.

I’d go with the 2 battery version the cooling fans can be made to run after a fill which helps in its longevity. IMO GX Is the best for the $$

I have an L3 also and it works great. I found some Makita knock-off batteries on Amazon pretty cheap, so it's even better with a couple back-up batteries. Amazon even offers a AC/DC converter with an adapter that will fit where the battery sits for use at home plugged into 110V outlet.

I have had the L-2 and had no issues with it. I get pretty good life out of the battery It’s very portable. Like others said extra batteries can be had failrly cheap.

I am surprised more companies didn’t adopt this style. It looks like a no brainer to me. I may go with the one battery one though due to its cost effectiveness. Thank you all for your replies!

I have a bunch of Milwaukee 18V batteries and no Makita. Target Forge did a you tube about converting a GX CS2 to battery power. He used Dewalt batteries but that just means a different battery dock. If you are like me and already have other brand batteries you might just want to convert a GX CS2. Seems like you could even convert a GX CS4 but it draws a little more so batteries wouldn't last as long.
