GX Pump CS4 or Tuxing Double Cylinder?

Correct. The Tuxing has a higher output due to the higher wattage motor (1800W vs. 350W I think).

The Tuxing is a solid platform that has been around for a while BUT it does have some questionable design decisions, obvious cost cutting measures here and there, and quality control issues such as self-destructing o-rings that may require you to mess with it sooner than you expect. It is easy to service and parts are available, but if you're looking for something that works well out of the box, then it's probably not it.

The CS4 looks like a nice improvement on the CS line, a more refined package our of the box, BUT it's still rather new with not a lot of high hour units in the field yet so its long term reliability is still unknown and in general, parts for GX compressors could be hard to come by.

Take your bet.

PS: "can run longer" is a bit misleading as it is not apples to apples: the CX4 will have to run a lot longer than the Tuxing to accomplish the same task, so it will accumulate hours a lot faster especially when filling tanks. Topping off a 7L tank 200 to 300 bar is probably going to take >1hr with the CS4 vs. 20min with the Tuxing... give or take.

Thanks!

Given that the tuxing has spareparts that can easily be bought on Aliexpress or Amazon kinda gives me the edge of going for the Tuxing.

For those who were waiting for GX Pumps to get the CS-4 back in stock, they are now!

https://gxpumpofficial.com/?ref=GXProducts

$669.00 plus 10% off with code GX10OFF and free shipping to the lower 48!

Mine is still going strong, runs cool as a cucumber and will fill my tanks and my Huben to 5000 psi! These, IMHO, are what sets the CS-4 apart from the competition.

Ditto on the CX4!!!
Bought one as a back up while waiting on parts for my Air Venturi compressor.
Got it in yesterday and went through all of the setup steps and this little thing purrs like a kitten.
Picked mine up on Amazon and if you're a Prime member the price is $620.00.
Money well spent in my opinion.
I've been wanting something smaller to pack along in the truck for a long time now and this is the perfect thing for it!!!!
