Yes, basically the same rifle Michael is shooting. With an additional plenum and a little work getting these to shoot isn't that hard. I did have mine built by Martin so not sure if the barrel is a stock barrel or something special.

Would you say an extra external plenum is needed to get the most out of slugs?

Depends..if you want more speed a larger plenum is needed. Was able to get respectable speeds before the plenum, but the addition of it really helped
