N/A H&N 4.50, 4.51, 4.52 ?? I don’t know which to choose

I’m going to order some H&N baracuda match .177 for some long range practice with my Remington sabre. Just seen I can choose between 4.50, 4.51, and 4.52! I haven’t a clue which would suit my rifle the best neither do I have the money to buy three tins of 400 pellets to do a bit of testing. Any ideas or advice. Thanks!

IMO, find the money to buy the three tins. What will measuring the bore size tell you? Sure, generally, pellets that fit snugly tend to shoot better than those that bounce off the lands flying down the bore, but there are always exceptions, and who knows what the pellet size will be after the spring-piston air whacks it in the skirt, or if in the end the Baracuda Match of any size will shoot better than any other pellet you can get. Testing is the only sure way to find out.
You can always use up the pellets you don't like in practice (if you can get the losers to group better, then you'll really do well with the favorite pellet), or trade them with a friend.

Finding the “Magic Pellet” that your rifle likes is part of the fun of shooting.

Once you find the “Magic Pellet” start stocking up on them. I try and wait for a sale or free shipping then place a large order.

Most of my rifles like the H&N FTT 4.52 head size. They fit into the barrel snugly and seem to group the best.

Try them all and have fun!

The only answer is ,you have to buy all three. My HW50 likes H&N FTT in 4.51 and the Baracuda Match 4.50. The Baracuda,s grouped better but just barely. Buy 3 get 1 free at Pyramid Air,use their code at checkout, that'll save a little. PA packs their pellets the best. That's important since tins of pellets are so easily damaged when going thru shipping. Buy some cheap lead pellets for fodder to re-season the barrel after cleaning. Good luck

Buy all 3 , check sizing of pellets in tins , discover you got hosed cause there pretty all random sized in the tins anyway , and just buy the one on best sale . Lol.
I am with you McNasty. The words quality control are not in the pellet makers vocabulary. I have weighed and/or measured far more pellets that are not what the tin says that are correct. So, I shoot out of the tin and do very well. Bunch of guys I shoot with spend hours sorting.....and loose, lol. They should spend that time practicing. Compare to the bullets I buy to shoot in the PB benchrest game, pellets are junk. Over riding name of the springer pellet gun game is one thing, bench manners. Few addresses it, nothing to sell you or buy for an easy fix.

I ordered one of these sample packs last night.
