H&N no foam insert?

I've received two different orders with three different H&N pellets from PA and none of the tins have the foam insert inside the tin that kept pellets from rattling around. Haven't seen any damage so far on the tins I opened, But was just wondering why they cut out this piece when it seemed to help. Now I wonder how long before H&N pellets are garbage like JSB?

I've gone through allot of pellets in .177 and .22 caliber over the last six plus years since getting back into air guns, mostly I shoot Crosman Premiers, Benjamin Discoveries, H&N FTT, JSB domed pellets, and RWS Hobby pellets, I buy from P/A, AGD, Trainor Air Guns. and MidwayUSA. I've heard that the worst pellets shipping reviews goes to MidwayUSA, I should say I don't shoot competitively, I shoot for fun, hunt a little, and shoot paper seriously for my own pleasure so I tend to be pretty picky about my groups and scores.
I have read several posts on several air gun forums about bad packaging damaging pellet skirts and such and ruining accuracy, maybe I'm the exception, but outside of a few flyers now and then I haven't had any issues with any pellets that I've ordered from any of my regular venders or with the brands they carry.
About the only complaint I might mention is about most of the screw top tins I get from Crosman and Benjamin, I swear they have a line of gorillas that they use to tighten down the screw on lids on their pellet tins.

Thanks, I understood his point, but I have read more than a few complaints about both the lack of the foam inserts in pellet tins and of the lack of care in packaging tins being shipped in transit, I was just noting that I haven't had any issues with either on my end, and I buy all of my pellets on line.

I doubt the foam does anything but it might be a convenient way to add a bit of oil if you like doing that. It compresses so easily it's hard to see how it helps prevent damage.

Out of curiosity I tried some H&N Baracuda Match pellets I bought from Amazon and some I bought from Pyramid. The Pyramid ones were shipped better and arrived with perfect looking tins. The Amazon came in a thinly padded bag and the tin was dented. I shot 30 yard challenge targets with both and the Amazon shipped pellets did just as well. The skirts were not dented and the pellets showed no sign of damage even though the tin certainly did. I also had to return 3 "tins" of JSB assorted 22 pellets purchased from Amazon because the pellets were damaged. The 4th was OK. But I've seen tests others did videos on where they tested pellets with dented skirts and they didn't shoot much different than perfect looking pellets. I worry less about pellets these days but I still prefer to get undamaged tins and undamaged pellets.
