H&N vs H&N vs cphp

Was able to get h&n from air gun depot (great service by the way đź‘Ť)

I got a tin of the 4.50 and a 4.52

Random out of the tin

First 3 shot each 30y , irons ,R9. Using the smallest heads first from each measured above.

Shot another 3 each in turn ((hn.52- hp- hn.50 - hn.52 - hp- hn.50, ect...) onebulls .

Then a one each one shot kill try

I agree with the "good enough to get the job done" characterization of Crosmans. That is how they shoot in my Prod. It is a relatively close range gun anyway. But I usually shoot FTTs instead, they are not that much more expensive and shoot better and seem more consistent.

I have a head size gauge in 177 and I checked some tins of Crosmans that did not shoot well in my P35-177. A previous tin shot well, almost as well as H&N Baracuda Match. The head sizes in the "bad tins" were all over the place. There were at least a few for every one of the ten holes on the gauge. I only had about 20 left of the "good tin" but they were much more consistent. That really turns me off of Crosmans. You can have success with them, then order another tin and have nearly useless pellets. I haven't had that experience with the 22s but I am leery because of the experience with the 177s.

Its funny.

Opening the h&n tins appearance the .52 looked best .
Caliper the heads kinda equaled out so dont seem if .50 or.52 really added up to anything , now with that i did seem to get maybe better shot result from the .50 but shooting on irons , naked eye outdoors my hold and all really tough to say.. i do know the cphp and you can look at my r9 @ xx yards threads that theres that one pellet near always blows a good grouping.

If this wind goes away ( ha,ha) ill go back to 50y for another round..

Man its hot and sticky..lol. So shrunk the bulls and reshot 30y . Now the cphp took advantage .lol. Dod not shoot the hn .50's. Too hot..

Anyway. Making my aim point a bit more pinpoint cphp came out looking good vs the .52's
h&n.52 vs cphp.jpg

Now im going with shooter error not this is better then that pellet.. looking like a non issue so far.. just cphp 1/2 the cost and walk in and locally available..lol. Thats a winner in its self
