Halo’s? Alright, maybe.

Let’s have at it, lol! But definitely stay constructive! This is not a halo- whenever it shows, hit job. To me, IMHO, they are slugs with big hollow point. Ok. We have tons of slug options. I, however, love specialty ammo, polymags, nuclear- what I call hades and atomics, along with hunter extreme and hunter, CPHP and so on. Notice no standard dome pellets. Which shooters use successfully with pests. I just key in on the enhanced hunter/killer pellets. Hit with a brick, but not go through the roof of permission or neighbor house. Like slugs would. So after that ramble, where is the halo going? Not sure I “Feel it” with them.

You could make your own Halos..start with a FX Hybrid slug and carefully drill/ream them to have a larger cavity

Do you have any pictures of the results after opening them up? I did the same with the .177 NSA 20.5gr slugs and they opened up a bit more. Too taxing of a job for how often I shoot though 😅

I will try to get a pic. So far, the squirrels have not been too cooperative.

Yes definitely a labor intensive process.

It is all about the pop..’bout the pop..no pass thru. 😉

Dale Riggert is the man! He can be reached at [email protected]
Tel. 858 335 0457.
Bought 22's in 28 grs XLHP and 25's in 32.8 grs
Both caliber VK's shoot very very well in FX M3 700 mm bbl. 22 and a 25 cal. Daystate Safari.
Their accuracy is above many other brands / types tested and their performance in big iguanas even more impressive and devastating; from close range shots at 15 yds, to many one shot kills as far away as 148 yds.

Nope. Not at the dealers I usually buy from. Where are you sourcing yours?

From ebay, type in Varmint Knockers and you'll see the immediate selection. He also makes different weight sizes you just gotta ask.
Then the next question is, what happens to the accuracy at range?
You end up loosing a smidge of BC, but the accuracy remains mostly the same as long as you don't throw off the balance by removing too much.
