Just got it recently for very affordable $, it was sitting in a closet for years.

Clean it up, lets test it, the regulator is leaking like crazy. No problem, ordered a full set of orings from oringsandmore, got the package, lets start elbow greasing.

Started taking the regulator apart, luckily from rear - tank end, so many dried out dead orings hard like a plastic ring....

and I stuck with the front valve cap - the body side. Need a spanner wrench, I have no spanner wrench, but two dowels clamped in a vise shall do?

Heat up the brass thing with a small torch, trying to brake the many years old bond (some sort of loctite I would expect), won't go, so applied a little more muscles....and one of the dowels snapped.

Then I saw the damage, the valve pin is bent, pretty badly...and the front cap is still tight. If I would get that fkin cap down I may be able to torch and bend back that pin to acceptable...

Me better get an other Regulator? Cannot locate...can you guys help with a source?

I toke a bigger plumbers torch and finally broke the bond on the Valve cap (the vale puppet green oring is melted of course). Replaced all the orings, assembled the Reg all back to specs, checked for leak, all looks promising except a Valve cap is designed without orings, kind of outdated design but hey, worked for folks over a decade.

Now the last thing remaining, to find a best epoxy for Valve cap
