Hâmmerli sidelever airgun ???

Hi , Yesterday on a gun market I found this springer with the name " Hämmerlii " stamped on it , .177 cal . No type name or country in which it was built ....

It's a fixed barrel , sidelever cocking , and a kind of "rotating loading port " in which the pellet is dropped and the knurled button rotated 1/4 of a turn . The cocking lever doesn't catch the spring action, so the gun doesn't shoot actually.

If anybody had some informations about this gun , this would be nice😊. here are some pics :

Believe it or not you have a gem their" It was'nt a high end target gun in its day. But would compete with the best now days.It was imported by Lad Fanta in LA like 40 years ago.The the long tube under the barrel is a barrel weight.I think that modlel has a chose of open sights or diopter target sights. It has 2 springs in side.A smaller one inside the other. The spring are in reverse rotion.Thats good stuff"also a great trigger"

Mr. Ron is correct. It’s not anything special. But neither is this old Slavia 618. I have several. Youth gun. Made in Czechoslovakia. New around 10 bucks. These are incredibly accurate little rifles. A blast to restore and fine tune. I shoot the big bore bees out of the sky with them. Great for my grandkids. They’re special to me. .

Still worth a good restoration. May be lots of fun to shoot.

For what it’s worth.

Here's a link where you can read a bit more about those:

If not the peak of the Hammerli collectibility mountain so to speak, still rather interesting guns. That one looks to be in good shape and might be a fun shooter if you can get it working at reasonable cost.

Tap-loading designs all descend from the famous BSA's of the early 20th century. For many years several European manufacturers had tap-loaders as their top model.
