I have a knee riser that attaches to the gun via T-slot rail. I've also heard it called a UIT rail or an Anschutz rail. It's a MAC1 knee rise just with a flat rectangular piece of wood instead of his wooden cup configuration.
So, I like this particular knee riser a lot and am trying to figure out how to attach it to be used on a different gun with a picatinny rail attached to the forearm.
I'm wondering if there is a UIT to picatinny conversion of some sort or if somebody has any ideas on how to make this work.
I don't really want to inlet the forearm for a UIT rail as I like the option of attaching a bipod so I kinda want to keep the pic rail on the forearm.
If I can't get the MAC1 Hamster on there somehow, plan B is the following:
I've tried to use a "tactical" front grip like this one from UTG
and it works okay, but not as stable as the rectangular "footed" purpose-built knee riser from MAC1. I pondered how I could attach a foot on this UTG one but can't come up with anything I like. If I were just to screw down through the cap that comes off the bottom (with the intention of bolting a bigger foot onto it), it would need two attachment point to keep it from wanting to swivel around, and I'm just not sure there's enough "meat" there to drill two holes.
Open to suggestions and ideas.........
(In case it matters, MAC1 hamster lives on a USFT usually and gun with the pic rail on the forearm is the .20 Veteran that I'd like to try out in some matches).
Thanks.
