I tried that and ended up at a pic site😳

Well, you should still know what a "hamster" grip is now. Right?

I mean, all I was looking for was a picture of one. I found many and many different variations that were apparently classified as "hamster" grips.

However, this thread is the first time I ever heard the term. As the OP (you) implied, seems like a stupid name based on the pics, but I didn't read any farther to find out why they call it a "hamster" grip. Maybe someone will post the definition and then we can all go "Oh, that makes sense!" or "Really? That's stupid!"

I don't know... (chuckle) Seems silly to me right now. ;)

I purchased a lovely “hamster” from Talon Tunes as part of my .25 Taipan Veteran Tactical kit - they are not sold separately! I liked it so much I started looking for a custom one for my other long guns with pic rails on the underbelly. New aftermarket idea - custom molded hamsters that do not look or feel like a…….. well, you know! AR15 style forgrips are plentiful but ugly and not worth my money - hawk makes one with a built in light but again it’s very utilitarian.

They look like this on the page I linked
