Hand pump for fx wildcat as a back up?

Hi Everyone,

My fx wildcat is due to arrive soon. Woohoo!! I ordered a 74 cu tank to make refills from…easy button and I’m lazy…they told me it would take 30-40 min to fill my wildcat with a hand pump. I’d try it a pinch but not as a rule. Thoughts on keeping a spare hand pump around. If it’s a good idea, which does the best job. All thoughts are appreciated.

Always good to have a pump around just in case.

Just in case your other air source breaks down.

Or... just in case you feel like getting some exercise

I always keep a hand pump just in case. I too have a bottle, but no compressor, so the hand pump is cheap insurance. That wildcat would be a good workout too!

Depends on the gun hand pump is my primary mean of filling the gun. If your WC is compact then I would probably just use the hand pump. Filling a 480cc bottle to 250bars with a hand pump is a pain in the back….ask me how I know!

It takes me about 15min to add 50 bar to a 500 cc bottle. I don't go fast or I have a break in the middle so the pump does not overheat. How much pumping you will have to do depends on the power you shoot at not the bottle/tube size.
