Hand pump questions.

Ordered me a Huben pump (I have a Hill pump, but pumping Uragan 2 past 4000psi is a pain on that one). I don't mind pumping until I save up on a decent compressor rig, plus it's a good option to take in the brush.

With that said, I don't think Huben pump has any sort of intake filters. I got an inline Air Venturi filter, but I have a few questions:
1. If it sucks in some dust while pumping, will it be purged with the air when I vent the pump?
2. If I don't overheat it, should I worry about moisture? I'm in AZ, so pretty dry here, but never know, it can get wet during monsoon seasons.

Any other tips to "weatherproof" the Huben pump? Thanks.

If it sucks in dust it will send at least some of that dust to your gun. I would avoid using it in a dusty environment. At least get it up out of the dust.
Yes, you should worry about moisture. Ambient humidity makes a difference but when the air is compressed it's ability to hold moisture goes down. So it may still come out of suspension in the air even though your humidity is low. I would use the in line filter.

Do you think the inline filter is enough to keep the dust from going in the gun? It should, right? That's why I was wondering if it'll blow out once I bleed the valve.

Put an air/oil filter on the out side of the air flow. I have my filter with cigarette filters and desicant to catch the oil and water under pressurized air. The first filter looks nasty after some use, but the second one looks like new (on the air out side). Cheap to replace and does the job. Just get a good one since you are pumping to decently high pressures.

If you use a cigarette type filter in the line going to the gun is should help with dust. Will it get it all??? I suspect not but I don't really know. I would not trust it enough to deliberate pump the gun up with the pump sitting in dust. But I wouldn't be so afraid I avoided pumping outdoors where it tends to be dustier. In would try and elevate the pump off the ground.
