Not bad .. comming up with soft jaw ideas is a must on some things.. copper tubing works making them as well , gluing on rubber or leather pads ,ectI made up these aluminum pliers soft jaws to get this turret sight adjusting screw moving on an old BSA prewar. Gripped the straight knurls nicely with out marring. Saved them and have used them a few times since. I probably got those old pliers for nothing. This old boy will scrounge hand tools any where! Anytime! You never know what tool will get the job done until you use it.
I have a crazy looking (and a little rusty) Japanese long nose vise grip plier that I found under the seat of a pickup truck I bought years ago that has been very useful many times. Not necessarily on airguns though.
