Has Anyone Received Their MRod Compressor

We have the video completed, just doing Some stills to illustrate it better this afternoon.

Even got ourselves a decent wireless microphone. Woo Hoo !!!

I will take some time tomorrow to publish it.

Our Airgun container came in over the weekend with over 1900 airguns and we had to get the preorders out to our customers brother.

The good news is the standing orders all went out yesterday and today.

Should have easily had the time, but had a run on compressor and hand pump orders again today.

Plans are for tomorrow, to take the time and get her dun.

Thanks Again guys for your support.

Good thing its leap year, we need the extra day.

Received mine less cooling package. Relays had popped loose from mount but overall survived shipping... is auto shutoff relay in cooling package? I'm thinking it does not look good for intake filter/muffler. Package is compact, but will have to see how cooling pkg. Will affect that. My largest tank is a 98 CF but I also have a small 45ci paintball tank. Looking good so far. Is anyone adding glycerine to shutoff switch?

"Strever"well tomorrow has come past and gone yesterday
where is the video ?

He put it on Youtube, not here

well i just watched the new video and it does not answer a cpl questions i had ask
what is the blue needle on the pressure regulator for ? what does it do ? where is it supposed to sit ?
i can see the red one is for setting the high end turn off but what is the blue one for ?
and how do we use the 90 degree brass fittings you sent us like on the one mounted on the compressor sitting on your bench ?
they came with a different thread then the compressor has and you don't show it when you made the new video
are you going to replace them ?
and why don't you show a compressor running with all these upgrades ?

and how come you don't you answer our email questions ?

i finally got the 30A breaker & line installed and decided to setup the same way people are showing theirs
and Mr Murphy showed up :(
got everything laid out and was setting up and low and behold
somewhere i don't know if in shipping or from my handling
the insert they say to glue into the top of the pump seems to be missing :(
i ran the compressor for a few minutes with out the water system and watched the temp rise very fast and i shut it off at 29 degrees C

I did another test run this morning. 98 CF tank, started at 3k psi stopped at 4500 psi with no issues, 15 minutes. Glycerine in gauge is the way to go, $4 at walmart (first aid section). Overall, setup and use of compressor is more a learning curve than anything at this point.

I really want (need) an intake\muffler filter. Anybody address this yet? The description at mrodair.com noted it along with sound level but not in box.

More later

That is the exact pump we sourced and supply with all of our compressors.

They also have a 1200/min for a couple bucks more.

Thanks to Travis at wicked air rifles, we are finding more flow rate to be beneficial and in fact working better than the radiator.

Good news is instead of price increase, they can now be simpler and stay the same or slightly less cost for the total package.

With 2 larger 3/8" to 1/8" npt barb fittings and pump, they run even cooler.

Thanks Again to Travis.

You might consider looking into a counterflow chiller. I use it when brewing beer to chill the wort. I can take wort from nearly 100°C(212°F) down to about 20°C(70°F) in seconds. Combined with the aquarium pump you're showing, you could probably keep that compressor downright chilly.

I made my own counterflow chiller that isn't as pretty but still works pretty well. I put 1/4" copper tubing inside 3/4" PEx tubing so that the contents of the copper were seperate from the water around it in the pex tubing. It actually worked too well. I had to slow the flow of cooling water or else the wort would be too cold to pitch the yeast in it.

Big tin boat,

Nice.

Once again, you read something, change the context, repost.

REALLY ???

You are speaking to those of us who spend thousands (hundreds of thousands in our case) on airguns and related support equipment.

How are you being any assistance ?

This gentleman, was kind enough to share an idea (untested on this application) to perhaps benefit at least our knowledge base if nothing else.

Perhaps an idea of your own ?

anything ?

WOW - $200? How do you think that will go over when people are complaining about having to get a $69 Shop compressor to go with the shoebox?
I wasn't suggesting that particular one, just the concept of a counterflow chiller. As I said, I made my own for about $20 in supplies from Ace Hardware. I'm just trying to share a potential low-tech, low-cost solution to a problem. It isn't complicated and doesn't need to be a polished product. Anyone can make one in an afternoon. Here's a great DYI example:
