I suspect that since I started this thread, some of you have been wondering why I haven't filed a report on the Mrodair compressor yet.I've copied the full email thread below. Essentially this is what has happened. I placed my pre-order for the compressor on December 16th and subsequently received the email from Mrodair that the compressors were arriving and to pay the balance due which I promptly did.In early February Michael stated on this forum that the “last 19” compressors had been shipped." Assuming that my order must have been in the last batch I waited 7 days and then contacted Michael to ask for an update on my order.
As you can see from the email chain his immediate response was the usual Michael excuse; that it was taking a week for compressors to arrive, probably because the packages were so heavy. I pointed out in my response that it had been a week and that was why I was writing. No response, at which point I became a bit more demanding in my response. He answered that he had been doing research and had found that their ordering and shipping software had detected a difference between my billing and shipping addresses and had consequently simply ignored my order and failed to print out a mailing label. He apologized and stated that he had created a shipping label by hand, that my compressor was boxed and ready and would go out that day (February 12).I contacted Michael 7 days later and said that I still had not received the compressor and asked for a tracking number. He sent me a photo of a shipping label that had obviously been created that day. Needless to say I was quite irate and demanded an explanation. When I received no response I sent an email giving him 30 minutes before I took further action (posting on this forum and contacting the State Attorney General's Office being the first of those actions). I received a phone call from Buck 20 minutes later (they obviously realized that emails were leaving a documentary trail) who repeated the excuse about the software (he just caught himself from blaming me for creating the problem) and said the “truck would be there in 30 minutes” and he could ship the compressor or send me a refund check. He had no response when I asked him about the email of February 12 stating the compressor was being shipped that day. After some deliberation I told him to ship the compressor. The next morning I checked the tracking number and discovered that UPS had still not received the package and once again sent Michael an email asking for an explanation. No response. A repeat of the behavior of February 12th whereupon I canceled the order and asked for a full refund.
What conclusions do I draw from the experience. Let's assume that there is somewhere a software designer incompetent enough to write an ordering program that, upon detecting a discrepancy between shipping and billing address, does not send an error report or somehow flag the discrepancy but simply discards the order. Let's assume that someone is stupid enough to purchase such a software package. And let's assume that while I've worked with typewriters (you younger guys may have to look that up) and computers my entire professional career and can type 120 wpm and have published widely in professional and hobby journals, that I still somehow made an error when entering my personal information on the original order and follow-up balance payment. That still leaves the correspondence of February 12th where it is blatantly obvious that Michael lied. And that still leaves the phone call of February 19th where Buck repeated the same lie, stating that the compressor was ready to be shipped and “the truck would be there in 30 minutes.”
We've all noted Michael's eagerness to shoot from the hip and play lose with the facts. But this goes far beyond that; these were blatant, unequivocal lies. And a businessman who is willing to lie is, in my opinion, willing to do anything (a man's word is his bond). Consequently I would never, ever seek to purchase any product or service from Mrodair again (Which is unfortunate as I am quite curious about Snowpeak's P15 that has been leaked in a couple of places. I guess my only hope in this regard is that Snowpeak will realize that their North American presence is being threatened by Mrodair's behavior and will find another partner in the US.).I would also recommend to friends and colleagues to not deal with Mrodair. As I've noted previously, I am increasingly underwhelmed by the airgun industry in general. But Mrodair is another level deeper and does not, in my opinion, deserve to continue to execute its abuse on the airgun community. So my strong suggestion to everyone is to avoid any further business with Mrodair.
Here is the email exchange in full (minus a brief tangential exchange regarding the P12):
--------------------
Michael,
Since you have failed to respond once again (a pattern), and that once again you have failed to comply with your promise, I have changed my mind:
Please cancel my order for the compressor and refund my payment in full.
Confirm this cancellation by return email please.
Stephen

Michael,
In our phone conversation yesterday Buck stated that the UPS truck was arriving in 30 minutes and I opted to have the compressor shipped. However I checked the tracking number
this morning and UPS indicates that the package has not been received by the carrier.
Please clarify.
Stephen

last Thursday that you had shipped out the last 19 compressors. Since it shouldn't take a week to move from Arkansas to Colorado, I think we might have an issue since my compressor hasn't arrived yet.
