Has anyone used a donny tanto 25 on a 22....

I have 6 PCP guns: 5 rifles and 1 pistol.
All of them are .22 cal with the 'exception' of 1, which can be configured in .22 or .25

I have DonnyFL adapters on 5 of them - All in .25 cal max dia.
I have DonnyFL suppressors - a .25 RONIN and a .25 EMPEROR V3.

Going up one caliber size does a few things - two main points are:
1] Helps prevent pellet clipping - as the exit diameter is just a bit larger
2] Allows use on multiple caliber setups.

Sam,

Thanks for your answer. I was having the same question. I have my Sumo in .25 but the Nova Liberty is .22, I was wondering if I could use it.

Erlis, You're welcome!

I can guarantee that your setup will work 100%
I was the one who pestered Donny to make the adapters for the Nova Freedoms / Liberties - and sent him my threaded end-cap to work off from..
The first adapter that he made is on my Nova Freedom, and I've used both the Ronin and the Emperor V3 on it with amazing results!
I'm not kidding when I say this.. After suppressing the Freedom, I seriously couldn't even hear it anymore! It was 'that' quiet!!

👍👍

As many have already stated, go up a size. I have a .22 Tanto on my Streamline .22 and I was having some issues with the Predator GTO pellets coming out a little wonky. I opened it up and took off the felt and shook out a bunch of little shavings. I put it on my .177 gun and no problem at all. I put my .25 Sumo on the Streamline and problem solved.

i am currently using the tanto on my .25 impact and liking it. its a little quieter than the factory moderator and about the same size.

Which .25 Cal. Tanto bolt end cap would you use with the Nova Freedom/ Aspen 1/2 x 20 #A50 adaptor?

Android,

I don't own a Tanto, but, just double checked the cap-ends for you..
It looks like the ".25 1/2-20 Bolt Endcap #S43" is the version that you'd need.

The direct link to that one should be:
https://donnyfl.com/collections/ldc/products/1-22-x-5-inches-tanto?variant=11782988857387

I always fire an e-mail off to Donny when in doubt, or, just to say Hi and confirm things..
Go ahead and do the same if you'd like to be 100% sure.
He's a great dude, and will get back to you ASAP!

PS: [Edit - to add this]
When choosing your endcap, you'll obviously need the thread type:
That is going to be the 1/2" - 20 Thread Pitch UNF
The two differences in cap types: The bolt style is the flat version..
That will give a nice flat backing to butt up against the adapter / barrel shroud.

The other type - I spotted the 'cone' type option..
That cap won't be flat, but instead offer a 'taper'. Gradually getting smaller..
That style is what would be used if you're connecting the suppressor
directly to a small[er] diameter barrel. It is more of an aesthetics thing
to help the looks of the suppressor to 'flow down into the barrel'.
That's all. 👍
