Has anyone used the "new" Primos Trigger Stick Gun Mounted version?

Ran across this picatinny rail mounted hunting bipod from Primos.
Does anyone have any input? I've been looking for something that would mount on the rail under the stock that can be used hunting.
Not sure what height I'd want to get. I have a crossbow I'd like one for as well as my Avenger but I usually sit with the crossbow, while I stand with the Avenger.
Any input would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Too much to lug around, so what I've found that works well, its a Hiking pole. Gives me a good pole to steady my stride as I go thru uneven terrain , especially in snow. And when I need to make a shot, it's a great monopod that allows me to steady my aim, standing, or sitting or anywhere in between.

and the best part. You can get a pair for $20 and they fit inside a day pack. Break one, you have a spare.

Thanks for the idea. I will use my hiking pole when I stalk. But I can't use that with my crossbow too, which is the goal.
And I won't be lugging it around. I stationary hunt squirrel around here because they are plentiful(for now, lol).

Here is an adapter that turns a pair of trekking poles into a shooting rest. They have a picatinny attachment piece as well as I recall.

Never used the product.

i like the the trigger sticks not really built heavy enough cant ding the legs or they wont slide easy but they are a great product
Thanks for that input!
That's not exactly a glowing review. I don't like hearing about not built heavy enough @ $150+ for something I might use in the woods, which will get bumped around.

You might consider a carbon fiber tripod with a removable leg and a ball head on it with a lot more options and for less $$ than the Primos. It will give you the following capabilities:
  • Tripod with ball head on it and an Arca plate attached to your gun (Significantly more steady when standing than a bipod)
  • Bipod with a ball head on it and an Arca plate on your gun
  • Tripod with a single or double Y rests on top for guns that don't have a place to mount the Arca plate
  • Bipod with a Y rest on top for guns that don't have a place to mount the Arca plate or for use in FT matches.
  • Monopod with ball head and Arca plate attached to gun.
  • Bench or prone shooting rest with ball head and Arca rest or Y rest variations.
79" max height with carbon fiber legs

Less expensive aluminum legs smaller 54" max height

Wow, that’s a lot of stuff for $66. Probably not real heavy duty if you’re an outfitter but for the average hunter it’s probably entirely adequate.
I have the original three legged, two legged and single leg Primos Trigger Sticks and really like them. To me they seem a little over priced but they really work good. I primarily use the three legged one. It’s nice because I can lap my gun and the tripod stays put while waiting a shot. If it were attached I personally think it would be a little cumbersome to move the whole gun and tripod or bipod. Curious if the attaching to gun is real quick and easy or do you have to mess with it to attach ?
It would be nice if they made something that attached to the swivel with a rare earth magnet and the bipod/tripod also had a magnet and they could quickly attach/detach. To me, that would be nice.

Just got off the phone with Primos. Gun Mounted Bipod is not adjustable for height therefore no trigger on it...well that sucks. Back to a normal trigger stick or some other option.

I guess my unicorn bipod doesn't really exist - a pic mounted trigger stick. Maybe time for some adventures in modifying

@Geezerhood - by height changes I meant changing the length of the bipod legs. With Trigger sticks you pull the trigger and the legs can go up or down, so you can do it while you are aiming.

That being said I like that setup you have.
Thanks again for all the input.

Well duh! I guess I should watch more videos about products. If I had I might've realized I could get what I want. Thanks for doing my research for me!
I have an Avenger with a pic rail under the front of the stock, same on my crossbow, and that's why I was looking for a rail mounted adjustable hunting bipod.
As usual, money can fix almost anything if/when you have enough. Where's my wallet? LOL

And thank you for bringing this Primos Trigger Stick to my attention! Very cool product. It looks like the closest to perfect option for a lightweight hunting bipod / tripod. I think I will go with a tripod since it is so easy to adjust the legs and is more stable than a bipod for me..... or one of each! I found the Gen3 tripod for sale at $119 yesterday but they were sold out and it is no longer listed.

I have a three g3 bipod trigger sticks. I use a tall while squirrel hunting. Makes it nice to shoot from where you see a squirrel instead of walking to the next tree or stump for a rest. I use a medium one in my blind while bow hunting with my crossbow. And a short one for shooting prone. I do have a couple single pole ones. But it’s a pita to have to twist the pole to set a height while hunting. I just bought a 3g tall for my son in law today for Christmas.

I wouldn’t want to mount one on my hunting rifles as I use a sling and have the rifle slung most of the time. It’s just so quick and easy to set the rifle on the trigger sticks and squeeze the trigger to get the perfect height and angle.

I have been using the Primos gen 3 trigger stick tall (tripod) for two plus years, I have had zero issue with the performance, function, and use of the tripod, it takes some getting used to, but it does provide a stable shooting platform. you can't use it for a pry bar, or bend ding or dent the legs, as they are made of aluminum. The size of the stick that you choose will depend on your style of shooting, if you sit on a bucket, or chair you might want to get the short one, the legs extended and splayed out, make it kinda springy. They offer tripod and bipod options, and height sizes. I carry mine to each lane, (10 of them two targets each) I have setup in the mountains. It has worked well for me, hope this helps.

If you are somewhat handy, I would think you could adapt an arca or pic quick release to the top of a trigger stick.
