That is not how business works.
Companies invest large amounts of money to achieve an advantage and make more money. They are under no moral or legal obligation to hand their profits or any portion of them over to consumers. They would be idiots if they did.

Of course, everything is expensive to produce and work in countries where everything is expensive, that's why there are countries where something can be produced for a much lower cost. I happened to have the chance to see the prices of SPA parts from China, I was shocked at how cheap they are and how much the dealers in the "west" earn...

This is my weapon, this my gun. This is for fighting, this is for fun. Think of the movie full metal jacket and R Lee Ermie. Our airguns are for fun not fighting.

1 - Yeah, as noted..."good" CNC equipment is NOT...cheap.

2 - There's original design time, also...not cheap.

3 - Have a meeting of ALL of the company players to make sure everyone is happy with the new gun.

4 - Inspection, rework, and put the info into a computer.

5 - Then you build a "first article" gun. Test the hell out of it, make sure nothing fails...especially the air cylinder.

6 - Then you make changes to the original design,

7 - Retest.

8 - Machine all parts

9 - Inspect all parts

10 - Coat all parts (anodize), inspect.

11 - Assemble into a working gun.

12 - New marketing.

13 - New packaging.

What did I forget ?
Now...just who do you think has to pay for all of this, especially, #1 ?

If you really want to know how much something cost today then you must compare it to how long you have to work (hourly ) to buy it .
How many hours of work . Interesting fact is if you can buy the same item 40 years ago and compare how much it cost then to how many hours you would work for it (wages then ) I think you will find it cost about the same . Probably HW springers will fit the math .

I would not use an airgun as a weapon. I would pick up something much more effective to defend my life without hesitation. But at any rate it’s against the forum rules to discuss airguns as weapons.

Thats kinda weird for me as I'm from Finland. Gun and weapon both translates to one word and it is 'ase'. Word gun can also translates to pyssy but nobody rly use it. Airgun=ilma-ase. Air=ilma and gun=ase=weapon.

Aww…. Well I see you are in Bosnia so I have no clue about your economy but it’s pretty laughable to think about anything getting cheaper in our stink tank economy here in the US. My apologies.
