Hatsan Blitz BP

Good to hear! I will definitely be getting a 22 cal BP and maybe a 30 cal as well when they are available in the US at under $800 like you can find the original Blitz for. Not willing to pay more than that for the BP model. A 9mm/35 cal BP Blitz would be fun as well if it had at least a 25 round magazine.
Hatsan is having a 30% off everything on their USA Web site including Factor BP. One needs to search for the code. Ends on Jan 1 24

The appeal of the Blitz is the full auto but getting it to actually shoot full auto took me a lot of tinkering.
It would fire 3-4 shots and then stop working because it didn't cycle correctly, the side bolt wouldn't push far enough forward so I would have to push it in gear.
So I removed the side plate to reveal the gears inside and they were all covered in this white thick grease. I thought that perhaps that was the problem so I removed all the white grease and replaced it with regular gun oil. The cycling mechanic became really smooth and felt really nice compared to before but it didn't fix the cycling problem, it made it worse...
So after some googling and youtube videos I had a look at the magazines, many of them had "chew" marks on the red spacers that hold the pellets.
Basically the rifle was cycling faster than the magazine was spinning so the pellet probe would hit the spacers.
In the picture below the ideal pellet probe push would be in the green field and centered on the pellet but if the pellet probe cycles faster than the magazine can spin it might end up like the red circle where it chips the spacer. This causes several problems, it damages the magazine a bit by chewing on the spacers but more importantly it causes the pellet probe to lose speed so it doesn't push the probe into battery. I believe this to be the main cause of probably 90% of Blitz cycling problems.

So to fix this we need to get the magazine to spin faster. In the videos I saw and forum posts I read the recommendation was to drill a second hole in the backside and move the spring hook to the new hole. Pictured spring isn't the one in the magazine but I couldn't find a picture of the actual spring but it looks the same. The hole on the back of the magazine is where one of the ends of the spring is inserted and the other point goes into the red part of the magazine.
I did 2 magazines with a half turn tension but it didn't work so on the 3rd magazine I just spun the red part 1 rotation and lifted it over the stopper, so in other words I increased the spring tension by 1 full rotation. This made the gun work flawlessly.

After thinking about it for a while here is what I believe happened with my gun.
The white thick grease paste isn't just there to grease the rifle but also to have it cycle at a certain speed, because I removed mine and replaced it with regular gun out the mechanic became a lot smoother and was now cycling even faster than before. I confirmed this with the ROF going from 1100 to 1400 shots per minute. Because I caused the rifle to cycle faster, half a turn of the magazine wasn't enough for the next pellet to move into position.
A full rotation of the magazine made it tight enough so it could now rotate quickly enough.

I will be getting Hi-Cap mags with the BPs I've ordered and I'm guessing I will have to tighten them as well, at least if the person who bought my old blitz wants to run high-caps in his rifle.
Where can I get Factor BP .30 magazines? Not on Amazon or Hatsan USA's web site. I'm in CT USA

Well, I received a reply about the Blitz BP, but it doesn't look good as far as it ever being sold here in the USA. I recall one of the messages on the Forum from several years ago which said HatsanUSA was trying to get the factory to make some changes to it, but if they had been done we would have it available here in the U.S.
Here's the message I got from Mr. Cecil Bays II, Operations Manager, HatsanUSA Inc. :
" Thank you for your interest in the Blitz BP.
We have tested this model and find it to not be a viable option for import into the USA market.
Due to company policy I can not go into detail as to the reasons we feel that the Blitz BP is not a good fit for the USA market.
There are several models and variations of Hatsan airguns and Escort shotguns we do not import due to various reasons.
We do not special order models that we do not carry due to the need for additional service parts for guns we do not offer.
Another reason is we would have to order case-pack quantities,
which will use warehouse space that could otherwise be used for product that we do sell in the USA.
It would not be financially responsible for us to custom order models we do not stock and do not have the parts to service if necessary.
You can try to find this model from a seller outside of the USA,
but We will not have the parts to service the gun if you have issues, and we do not warranty models we do not distribute.
I hope this answers your questions, but we will be unable to accommodate your request."

Best regards

So, no joy on that route; I'll have to find a good price on one in Europe.
Anyone know of a place with the best price in Europe?
Can you give me Cecil's email? I want to tell him that I cannot find any Factor BP .30 Magazines on their USA Web site nor on Pyramyd or Amazon

Can anyone share info on or if we in the US could have the Hatsan Biltz BP available. The bullpup version has already been offered in Europe for quite some time now. What’s not to love; same features but almost a foot less in length! New hi cap mags ready to dispatch 33 rounds in 30 cal. I really want one!

I own 2 Blitzes, .22 and .30. These short ones are interesting. I am concerned about the mechanical noise from the action so close to ones ear with this bullpup design

Maybe some good news for a Blitz Bullpup in the USA …..

I wanted the BP but couldn’t stand to pay an extra $1000 to have one shipped from Europe so I just ordered an open box/demo regular Blitz from HatsanUSA website and look what they sent me…. It is a Blitz BP Bullpup.

Note the “Hatsun USA” markings. Maybe a sign of release in the near future. I don’t know if the -000001 is a serial number but if it is that is freakin cool.
