Hatsan blitz what does this part do?

While dissembling the hatsan blitz i can't figure out what this part is for?

After some tweaking to the gun i found out what this part does, for who wants to know. It basically giving a mechanical delay(timing) to the hammer and pellet probe. Otherwise the hammer hits the valve before the pellet probe is fully locked in. Pretty smart idea and works well. There is a spring pushing the plate up that you can adjust so maybe you can play with the timing (rate of fire), but i have to give that a closer look a other time.

Sounds like that’s a part that shouldn’t be messed with. 😁

Brilliant...Do you think this could be the cause of some of the full auto failures? Also you mentioned that it could be adjusted. Is it adjusted by screw? Man...after thinking about it I now wonder if this spring gets weak causing most of the mysterious fails, especially the the blitz fails with that farting sound on full auto. I'm going to double the spring to test it out.

I was thinking the same! Mine is working fine but i really think that this could fix that problem for sure, its a part that you really want to lube and can be tunned by turning in or out a hex screw nut thing making the spring tension more or less. After tunning the hammer spring its doing 60fpe now😃

its like a secondary sear and pretty sure its purpose is to keep the gun from going full auto under certain conditions, i know one thing, you yank the trigger group out with the hammer spring in it things will get interstin lol .. it doesnt adjust far as i know ..if the engagement surface gets burred or out of shape at the top it can affect things is all i know about it ..

I don't know if it has a secondary function but it has to do with the timing for sure, you can test it yourself by pushing on the hammer with your finger and pushing the pellet probe into place you can feel there is a perfect timing (harmony) going on between these 3 parts as soon as the pellet probe locks into place the hammer releases. If you remove the part shown in the picture the hammer will release as soon as its cocked. If that happens the pellet probe is still pushing in a pellet while the hammer hits the valve and bad things will happen!

The semi-auto selector is located underneath the unit see the picture its that metal T looking part with 2 springs
