Hatsan Bullboss

Hi everebody

This is my first post on this forum, i love airguns and have a few breakbarrels but i just bought my first PCP and got the bullboss in 25 cal.

I'm loving this gun so far, but i have some questions that hopefully can be be solved here, the rifle shoots great i got to make some groups last weekend and a chrony test and all is good.

So, is there a way to make this rifle a bit quieter?

What is the best method to eliminate the "ping"?

Thanks

Hatsanlvr,

I have a Bullboss .25 and I did use a bottle brush like that video says. I now have removed the ping from my Bullboss and I love a $4 fix.

I know you can add a moderator on it. you should ask Donny Fl as it is an AT44 Hatsan base. I do not have one of his moderators, but I have friends who do and they swear by them and their guns are dead quiet. I also made an adjustable up and down shoulder pad and a clip holder for the opening in the stock. I love my Bullboss. Hunting with that baby is a blast for me and the receiving end (no pun intended). You can look at my page if you are interested Papy_Yosh.

Consider not putting anything in the tube that can shred ( there IS extremely violent air movement inside during firing ) and get to you valve.

You want something solid , think of a pill bottle with a small hole in it or a maraduer baffel- anything works - .

You could just shove a section of folded 1/2" plastic tubing inside it will break up the pulse. Some have found even such tubing will get beat to death and foul the valve tho.

Anything works it just needs to be tough enough and tight enough not to migrate during the firing cycle.

There's a guy over on the Gateway to airguns that building a replacement packing unit for the LDC that dropping some thing like 5dbs. You could add a regulator, FYI if you do plan on drilling out the pop valve seat to a .187. Dont worry you got a replacement seat in the bag of goodies that Hatsan included with your gun. If you want to hot rod your bullboss read up on the "bob mod"
