Hatsan Edge Vortex .25 caliber

Hello all! I am seriously considering buying the Hatsan Edge Vortec in .25 caliber. What is everyone's thoughts and experiences with it? It looks like the best deal going on a large caliber break barrel. Before everyone starts saying "You get what you pay for, might as well get a better one", I understand that, but I am on a VERY limited budget, but I want a large caliber break barrel that packs some punch! My distances I shoot at are out to 65 yards

I have one in .25 and it is a great starter gun into bigger calibers, but if you plan to shoot out that far you better know your holdover cuz it drops like a rock past 30 yards. The vortex version is great it's about 18-20 FT lbs stock and if you tune it vortek moly seal, moly tune, smooth out the trigger, ect and fill the gas piston up to max 150 bar you get around 22-23 in muzzle energy. It shoots extremely smooth Even maxed out,but the breech block will loosen over time and cause it to shoot inaccurate so must lock Tite it and keep tighten the breech block screw repeatedly, so I just shoot mine open sights and it nails anything that comes into it's shot path. I lucked out with mine it shoots every single .25 pellet I can find very well except HN spitzkugel and grizzlies. The trigger is standard crosman but super smooth and breaks crisp. Great gun and very well with it in my opinion.

I recommend that if you have $60 more get the kral n11 in .25 it puts out 25 FT lbs stock and you can tune it past 30lbs easily, very easy gun to work on and very solid build quality built like a tank but needs some TLC. I know that if you get the edge you are gonna want more power, for less pellet drop and better BC, better expansion (.25 pellets at 20ft lbs won't expand even polymag don't expand at that energy level) I'm assuming you want a .25 break barrel to hunt with correct?

Yes the 135QE is a beautiful gun, truly a niche gun for a specific purpose;killing critters. The cool thing with the hatsan guns is they are partners with H&N so hn ammo will most likely shoot well in their guns,my edge .25 is super accurate with almost all HN ammo and for the most part it's about the same cost as .22 pellets, although they are dropping the tin count from 200 pellets to 150, I hate when manufacturers do that. If you only got so much money get the edge vortex, you can't go wrong it's a $100 for a.25! But I do recommend the Kral n11 or N07 they put out more power and I did a little work on mine and new spring, seal, moly, put on a GRT3 trigger and BAM! 30+ FT lb super smooth killing machine, mine loves polymag "1.25 grouping out to 50 yards Average, it destroys whatever I point it at,the hatsan hits hard but not as devastating as the kral/polymag combo I got

I purchased a Hatsan Edge .25 caliber. I like it a lot. $99.99 and then a 10% discount. I have used H&N Pointed, Round and Predator Polymag pellets. The gun was very easy to sight in. At 40yards I was easily hitting a 3 inch bullseye. Weight does not bother me as Im a pretty big guy. Some ppl hate the scope. From the time I was little I have shot iron sights. Using a scope is no big deal. I know how to hold over and do windage. If I can see it, I can normally hit it. Lol. But I found this to be an excellent rifle. I'm going to get one in .22 I think.

Seriously, where can you get a .25 caliber with this accuracy at this price. It works for me.

Hatsan is definitely a awesome brand and we'll worth the money I have all their calibers in the 125 models and a 22 in their 95 model witch brings me to my recommendation you should go to Hatsan usa .com and go to their refurbished section you can get a really good air gun for a great price i personally recommend the Hatsan 125 25. Cal in spring power you can get it for about the same price as a new edge vortex and it is one super powerful air rifle you get near pcp power for much less money and it's literally the most powerful 25. Cal on the market and very accurate as a personal preference i always buy all my guns in spring power because they are more powerful than gas ram tho only 10 or 20 FPS but still, more power and cheaper is a no brainer. If you go to the site and see that it's not in stock just click on the gun anyway and you can sign up for a email when the gun is back in stock i have done that before and it usually doesn't take long for that to happen usually just a couple of weeks and don't be afraid to buy a refurbished gun they have great warranties and if anything doesn't work the will make it right at no cost just remember refurbished airguns don't come with scopes and it's 5 dollars for shipping.
