Hatsan leaking?

I installed a regulator per bwaltons youtube video. I had filled it to 2900 psi and shot two mags through it and refilled it to 2900 psi. I put the rifle away and got it back out to do an animal control job and noticed it had leaked down to around 50 bar. Has anyone else had problems like this after installing a regulator? I did notice that right after installing it that air leaked a little while pumping the air tube back up. Once it got up to around 800 psi it stopped leaking and I was able to fill it up. I made sure to lube O-rings with silicon grease before the installation. I have since then removed the regulator and filled it back up to 2900 psi. Will check tomorrow to see if it is still leaking. Thanks, Mike.

"glengiles"If it didn't leak before and the only change was the regulator maybe the regulator is defective. I guess you'll find out soon enough. Good luck with your test.
The cylinder/valve originally sealed with an o-ring in the groove, which is now removed. Now the regulator vents to the atmosphere and the regulator seals to the valve via a "new" o-ring against the "flat" of the valve. Since this surface was not originally intended to "seal" it is sometimes not "smooth" enough. If you still have the problem remove the valve and the polish (i use mothers mag polish) that "flat" surface where the regulator now seals against.
