Tuning hatsan nova star barrel

hi...so i think i have problem with my guns barrel....the gun is not accurate and i think barrel is defect

do you maybe now which other barrel would fit this gun ?

in 6.35 cal

I would think that exhausting all other potential causes that are easier and cheaper to fix before considering a barrel change would be a good idea. Chronograph results? Multiple pellet weight and styles tested? Good scope? Good mounting system? As to the specific barrel question, I have no idea on a replacement.

Agree with bandg - eliminate those possibilities first. With that said.... I have a Nova in .25 cal that came with a bad barrel. I went thru a lot of testing and frustration before figuring it out. My barrel had a burr in the inlet port and the lede was poorly machined. I purchased a new barrel from Hatsan USA which turned out to be a good barrel.

If the gun is new, Hatsan will send you another barrel. Just fill out the customer service form on their site, and they'll get back to ya pretty quick. You can do the same thing if you want to buy another barrel as well. The CS form is the way to go for sure, and don't even try and call them

I had hatsan nova. 25 cal. At 30 y it was grouping around 2".I saw pellets spiralling. I looked into barrel and it was very bad inside. I get replacement barell which was almost as bad. If i were you i would get Lw barrel or something similar and take it to someone who can machine it to fit the rifle.

My experience with Hatsan barrels is that it's a lottery. If you're lucky, you win, if not...

LW barrel is Lothar Walter barrel, which is known for having good barrels. The suggestion is to buy a "blank" barrel and having a gunsmith to machine it to fit your gun.

In my opinion Hatsan make both good barrels and really crappy ones...

You'll still have to have it machined. These are just barrels. No crown, no leade, no transfer port, no probe oring groove, no milling for airgun receiver, or receiver oring grooves, or magazine step.



I would try polishing the barrel you have first. Then detune the gun a bit. The power adjustement is inside of the rear of the hammer. maybe a 4mm hex screw? turn clockwise to reduce power.

i tried to reduce power but it was the same,i tried to increase and still no difference

i will have to check how to polish the barrel and try that
