just got an email notice hatsan is now selling tanks with fill systems all ready to go. Just add air. 74 cu foot at @ $549 and 98 cu inch for $350.

These Hatsan tanks do not represent good value at the prices they are being advertised. All components appear to be 100% made in China. Identical tank valves and fill assemblies are sold on Ebay and Aliexpress for $25 shipped for the valve and $30 shipped for the fill station. These tanks are most likely M18 x1.5 threaded to fit the tank valves sold on Aliexpress and Ebay. The pressure gauge on similar fill stations have poor accuracy and some of them can be off by as much as 500 psi. These tanks are DOT certified so I am not questioning their safety but their value at list price. The hoses on these made in China fill assemblies are notorious for leaking and bursting at an abnormally high failure rate.
I've been in the PCP hobby for 20 years and over that time I've bought and used most of the carbon fiber tank brands and fill assemblies. I've owned Airhog, AirtanksforSale (Joe B.), AofA Omega tanks, and Chinese tanks and fill assemblies just like these Hatsan imports. The $549 Hatsan 6.8L setup pictured above does not have comparable component quality as the $549 6.8L Omega tank set from AofA. Even if a buyer assumes the carbon fiter tanks are identical, an Omega valve and fill assembly is far superior by every measure. Omega, Airhog, and AirtanksforSale all use U.S. spec 14x.875 valves which is standard for every U.S. made carbon fiber tank above pony bottle size. That means you can reuse your fill assembly on any U.S. tank after your tank expires. The Omega braided hose is kink proof, completely flexible, and the coating won't split or crack like plastic coated microbore hoses. The pressure gauge is on a heavier duty tank valve and is much better quality and more accurate. The quick connect has an extended length collar which makes it easy to attach to tight foster recesses on FX Impacts, etc.
My reason for writing this is not to promote one brand or dealer. I have do have hands on experience from owning these products. If the 6.8L and 1.6L Hatsan tank setups were priced in line with their component cost and quality they should be priced significantly less than their premium grade competition. At retail prices shown in this thread they don't offer similar features or quality as identically priced Omega tank sets from AoA. They are inferior in quality to Airhog and AirTanksforSale tank sets. Buyers, be aware that there are higher quality, more durable, and more accurate carbon fiber tank sets for the same price as these new Hatsans.

if you never had one how can you judge it?how do you know gauges will be inaccurate?if you never had one you statements are pure speculation...

Hatsan put their brand name on imported fill valves, and gauges identical to unbranded ones I've purchased on Aliexpress. I had to have gauges and hoses replaced for reasons I state in my post. I am speaking from personal experience, not speculation. If you think they are a good value because they have a Hatsan label, by all means buy it. Get one of these Hatsans side by side to a similar priced established brand. I'd like to know what you'd say after such a comparison. Hatsan is importing and labeling cheaper quality Chinese tank sets and is selling them at prices equal to better built equipment. Airhog, AirtanksforSale, and Omega tank sets from AofA smoke these Hatsans in component quality yet are priced the same. I like to save money as much as the next guy, but I don't want to pay as much to get less. IMO, Hatsan should price these tanks at a much lower price point for what they are.
