Hatsan Hatsan plastics and screws

At the dismantling of the headstock, it appeared to me that Hatsan factory has to monitor their assembly line on
overtightening and alignment of the plastic screws.

To solve the misaligned screw, i drilled a new hole in the opposite direction (downwards) and to fix the smaller screw, i fit in a bigger one after fist
trimmed the head-diameter

I loved my Hatsan BT65's but when I got my 1st upper tier gun the difference in build quality, quality control, feel, smoothness of operation, accuracy, etc. was undeniable! Don't expect a Rolls Royce when you buy a VW! There's a reason they're considered "entry level" guns. Just being honest.
Agreed. Not a Hatsan, but I knew my Umarex was not a high quality gun, but did not realize how much so until I got my RTI.

BTW the Rolls VW comparison is just a little bit flawed. A customer at my dads auto repair shop had a rental company. He had to Rolls Royces. He told us that he had two, so that one would be availble to rent when the other was probably in the shop. Big names and fancy features, do not always equal reliability.

Agreed. I was just trying for an easily understood comparison. Maybe I should have said Yugo instead of VW. I became quite proficient hunting with my 1st real PCP's (entry level stuff) but my 1st FX gun felt and still feels almost effortless to hunt with. All the things I learned about technique, tuning, ballistics & airgun idiosyncrasies while using my Hatsans were invaluable. No matter the equipment, there still has to be a shooter with proficiency behind the trigger for ethical kills. THAT takes practice & repetition.
