I have four Hatsan rifles (2-BT65 and 2-Flashpup) with QE systems and not one of them has had an o-ring on the barrel nut when I got them. I have see references on- line that the barrel nut seal should be an o-ring that is C.S. 2.5mm X I.D. 15mm. Does any one know why they are not putting them on the new guns?

I have 2 hatsans with the qe system neither have the oring on the barrel nut. I think it would stop air from flowing back through the shroud and the shroud needs to breathe for the qe system to work properly. I've seen posts on here about peoples hatsan qe rifles being loud maybe because they have the oring in place. Mine are very quiet and have no oring

Well I guess it depends what type of gun you have with the QE system . I have a 25 cal. bullboss with a o-ring , the nut has holes & grooves in it to let air flow back into the shrould it also tensions the shrould . Do you other people have holes & groves in that aluminum nut & a groove for the o-ring? the bullboss revision May 2016 shows a o-ring - the flashpup Feb 2018 does not show a 0-ring - the BT65 revision June 2015 does not show one either . As a side not the Flashpup shows the nut going a different direction then the rest . If that nut has no hole & grooves for the air to escape I would not use a o-ring . I hope I'm talking about the same part mine is # (2944) the others are # (2945) in the Hatsan Products Diagram . I got my bullboss from a forum member and it is a newer version .

The part number in question is the 2945. It is an aluminum nut that goes on the end of the barrel. It takes a 14mm socket on the muzzle end. It has holes that pass from front to back to the on the outside of the hex portion and a groove around the outer edge that does fit the o-ring I have listed above. Since the o-ring is on none of my guns I was wondering if it was discontinued or if it was never suppose to be there to begin with. 3 of my guns cams with an o-ring on the outer cap (2943) that screws into the end of the shroud tube. One did not have it and I felt it was an oversight, but none of them have the barrel nut o-ring.
