Hatsan USA.... Never again

If you want to fix it yourself it's probably the anti bounce mechanism. It sits under the hammer and is u shaped. After a while the u shape gets bent out and jams. Bend it back by squeezing it a bit. It will happen again eventually. It's a design flaw I believe. I put a bit of moly on mine to help it last longer
Thanks for the reply Seth, you were right it sat in the corner of the shed for a few months and I had a look at that mechanism and it was bent and the spring that provides pressure to it was all chewed up. Everything around it is badly worn too. I cleaned it up and put in a new spring ( why the idiots at hatsan couldn't do it I have no idea )
Anyway it works now until something else breaks.

I get parts from them on a consistent basis. And have also bought other things from them. I personally have never had a problem. They have always returned my emails within 48 hours.

Same with me, when I used to order parts. Usually within 48 hours I’m either talking to Sean at Hatsan or I’m told the parts are already on their way. Once, I had to let them know they forgot to charge me before shipping out the parts!!

I have several Hatsans and have purchased them directly off their website. The few times that I have had issues I have simply emailed them, and they have responded back rather quickly. I always tell them that I am experienced in airgun repair and that I would like to do the repair myself rather than send it in, and they have been accommodating and have sent the part to me with no hassle. It's a win-win.

I get that Hatsans are not for everybody. I have heard many complaints about their repair service and given the volume of complaints I have heard, I'm sure there is validity to those complaints. However, if you enjoy tinkering, then they can be a great value and I have been happy with each one.
