So I was updating my super long post when I accidentally deleted it. However, for those of you that read it and offered assistance, here's what I found out... I got a call back from someone at Hatsan who was perplexed himself. We went through a bunch of things that could have caused the problems and it turned out to be the result of two things... Whoever had the gun before me had changed the placement of the baffles in the moderator. The aluminum baffles were backward and spaced with the plastic baffles between them which isn't how they are from the factory. Doesn't seem like much but after I put them back to stock, my groups became more consistent. Still not small groups, but more consistent for sure. I then switched from the 25 grain JSB pellets to the 33grain JSB pellets and my groups shrank drastically. This is what I expected from an AT44 10 gun. I'm now getting 9 shot groups that are easily less than an inch. Another thing that changed for the better with the heavier pellets is that I'm getting a lot more shots per fill and the drop in pressure is slower than with the lighter pellets. Meaning I filled the gun to 200bar, shot 18 shots and the cylinder is still at 180 bar. When I shot the other day and had the terrible results, I only got about 23 shots from full fill until the gun was in the yellow on the manometer, which is about 100bar. I don't know why this is but the heavier pellets are better all the way around and the gun is shooting as advertised. Thank you to everyone that reached out. I'm glad I got it figured out! Thank you!
