Hawke 4-12x40 AO scope on an HW95 a good match?

I need more magnification on my HW95 Field Pro than the Weihrauch 3-9x40 AO that came with the rifle. Why are the Airmax scope models more expensive if the only difference I can see is a different reticle design? I really hope the scope is able to perform while taking the pounding of a high end springer.

The power is human average eye power x whatever the scope power is. So 4 power is 4 times magnefied you normal eyesight and so on ..

Now that airmax vs that bsa/ Weihrauch.. well build quality and the hawke is backed with a lifetime no fault warranty. "If" it was to bust just send it in no questions asked and they replace it..

I believe the airmax to be a useful step up in optical quality.

AirMax reticles are etched... not wire... thus the increase in cost.

I cancelled the Vantage order and ordered an Airmax model instead.
