I'm undecided between HAWKE AIRMAX 30 FFP 6 -24X50 SF or Element Helix 6-24x50. I don't have much choice for other models here, so I would simply ask the owners... Which one is better?

If you intend to use it for FT, then the Hawke, but I would choose the SFP model. Otherwise, it's a toss-up. Right now, in that price range, there are many other choices I prefer, like Athlon or Arken.

I understand, I know about the Athlon, but I would have to order it and wait... Maybe I could afford the Element Titan, but the weight and the fact that I already own Fx adjustable mounts fi30 put me off...

I really like the older Hawke Airmax scopes but not so much the newer ones. I also own the Element Helix scopes and the the Athlon Argos series scopes as well. Can’t go wrong with any of them.

I have both! I like them both. Both SFP and the only SFPs I have. The eye box is a bit easier to find on the Hawke, but not significant. I would go with which reticle you like the best.

I have both in SFP also. Superior glass on the Hawke but the turrets are nicer on the Element. The Hawke is better with night vision but the Element isn’t bad. The Hawkes reticle lets me shoot with a little more precision. If someone stood there holding both my scopes and said they were going to smash one of them so choose, he would get tired of holding them before I made up my mind.

I’m another guy with both. The Hawke beats the element in every aspect to me except reticle. If it’s for hunting I wouldn’t choose either. Neither has an acceptable eye box for me on a hunting rifle when you take different positions. If it’s bench, not a problem

I had two Helix Elements self destruct on springers. They were quickly and happily replaced.
On a PCP the Helix is a wonderful scope, very clear and precise. Easy to see crosshair and very clear glass. Much clearer than the Hawkes.

Owned 3 Airmaxs in recent years .. NOT been happy with any of them.
Issues have been soft & non precise parallax focus, sub par crispness & clarity too just general feeling of them being not even close to the Sidewinders of the past, tho priced very similar.

I'm sure you'll get all kinds of opinions and maybe I'll get flamed, but it's really hard to beat a Hawke scope. I think I have 9 or 10 now and they are as clear and bright as they come. All are Airmax but one Vantage. I have other scopes but my go to brand is Hawke. I have a unicorn CenterPoint that is great and a SWFA that is ok. An Optisan EVX which is decent ( the CenterPoint is much better). I have yet to have an Airmax that is not really clear and bright.

I bought a Hawke airmax 4x16 a couple months ago paralex focus is not working properly and there’s some dots on lens starting only used for ft,only wiped lens twice with scope cloth. Turn paralex knob seems to move to much before it changes focus,have to keep turning back and forth and seems to be off 10 yds

Because I have been watching Ted Beir, and Matt Dubber for years, and listened to their insights regarding Element Optics, whom they're the creators of, I supported them with my recent scope purchase.
