I thought something was wrong with my Sidewinder. I wrote to Hawke and got a return authorization number. Monday I mailed the scope to Hawke. This morning, 3 days after it was mailed, I received a call from Hawke explaining to me what they had found. I didn't understand the technical part of the explanation but they said it was a manufacturing defect and to expect a new scope in the mail in 4-5 business days. Wow! Way more than is common. Hawke will be at the top of future scope selection lists. A primary reason, besides they make nice scopes, is the comfort knowing if something is wrong they'll repair or replace it...in short order.
