Would this be a good choice for 16 power, old man sitting on a bucket type field target?

No…. You need a scope that can focus down to 10 yards. I’m pretty sure the 4-20 Frontier only focuses to 15 yards.

I have this scope. It does indeed focus to 10 yards. Some online retailers wrongly list it at 15 yards. Hawke website lists it at 10.
Don’t shoot field target so cannot comment on that. Pleased with the scope for my purposes.

While by the Numbers it has very doable specs ... Need a large round or elliptical parrilax wheel for it.
proof of usability comes with some actual testing in seeing how well the image Snaps In/Out with parrilax articulation especially 10-14 yards and 45-55 yard distances. If it is satisfactory your golden
Tho will add a 20X retical sub-tension IS NOT ideal, with 10X being a tighter and easier retical to holdover with.

I have several of these scopes. Excellent for the price. Repeatable and tough. Mine will focus to 8.5-9 yds. They come with a large wheel you can put on. Great veterans program. 35% of MRSP. Sorry I mixed up scopes. Mine are Sightron STacs. I also have several Hawkes but no Frontier.
