hawke scopes. how are they?

Must be something about Oklahoma... I have the Airmax 30 SF Compact 6x24x50 AMX reticle and IR!

This okie had an Airmax 30 SF Compact and it took my HW95 no time to completely destroy it. Customer service was awesome though, I emailed them what was wrong and I sent it in and about 2-3 weeks later they sent me a brand new one. I sold that one here without every taking it out of the box. I switched to an Athlon Helos Gen 2 and never had another problem. But that was just a sample of 1.

I have a new Hawke Vantage IR which I've never used. Is it sturdy enough for an older BSA Supersport? Really would like to try it out but certainly don't want to have it break. Should you only use the Hawke Airmax on break barrel air rifles, and this one only on firearms??

I've had several and currently have five or six. Airmax scopes are just great. Bright clear and repeatable. I like the SF Airmax 30 the best. I also have a 2-7x32 Vantage that works great. I bought an Airmax 4-12x online a while back and when I got it, it had all kinds of debris inside of it. I wanted to shoot a new rifle so bad that I went ahead and mounted it. The thing worked perfectly but just was like looking thru weeds. I used it a few days, emailed Hawke and sent it in. They were out of that scope but offered me a number of deals on other scopes, some much nicer. I made my choice which was a bit more expensive with the intention of paying the difference, which was IIRC something like $50 and they just swapped it no charge. So, yeah, I like Hawke and don't use much else on some pretty expensive air rifles.

Hawke 4-16 x 44 mm compact on my HW95L .22 with 8K to 10K shots at 17 FPE. Accurate and no problems.
