For some reason, I cannot see the lower half of my post, cannot edit it, and cannot see the replies. I must have done something really screwy to foul it up.

I couldn’t see it either.
I have 2-7 Vantage that has spent time on my HW30 and 95 with no issues.
That same 95 has killed two UTG.
For the money my Vantage has proven to be a very good value. I still wish I had gone with the 2-7 Airmax, but oh well.

Well this was posted on my Mac.
I certainly wasn't criticizing Hawke scopes in any way, as I love my Vantage 2-7 AO as well. It has given me great service on PCPs and springers.

Hawke used to say their Vantage line of scopes weren't rated for springers over 12fpe, but I've got at least a dozen, all mounted on springers that shoot anywhere from 14 to 18+ fpe and so far have never had any problems with them. Always put a large part of that down to the fact they all have IR so they're all etched glass reticles, not wire.
They also have a lifetime warranty so if the day comes that one does bite the dust, it's covered
