Hawke Vantage rifle scope?

It's time to buy a scope for my 34, it's going to be a pack around plinker/hunter so no need for huge lenses of high power magnification. Also I think a 1" tube will be fine for my intended purpose, plus I already have a new RWS 1" lock down mount.
I have Mueller's and like them but also like side focus and their SF scopes are heavy as is the Tec Vector Joe posted in one of his videos. My search has led mt to the Hawke Vantage line of scopes, so I'm looking for opinions and experiences with them. I'm looking at a 3-12X44 and the 4-16X44, both with the 1/2 mil dot reticle.

I have the 3 by 9 by 40 Vantage $109 not bad.like it lots. Made number 2 on Joe's list of hundred dollar scopes and the one you're looking at some little bit bettet definitely buy it again

I have a Hawke Vantage 4-16x44 and so far it’s been a good scope for the cost.

I've always been happy with Hawke scopes. The Airmax 4-12x40 is in the same price and weight range with a better reticle but adjustable front objective vs side focus. I've used both and think you'll be happy with either.

I wouldn’t pass on the Tac Vector 4.5-18 that Joe did the review on, if I would of seen that review before I bought the Hawke I might of bought the Marksman instead, They have it for 185.00 which isn’t to bad of a price but either which way you go I’m sure they will both be good, I know the Hawke Vantage is Anyway.

I ordered a Hawke 3-9 X 44 From Optics Planet, it shipped today. The 100 moa of vertical adjustment is what sold me. Thanks for the input guys.
