Hawke Vantage scopes?

I have a Vantage 3-9x40 AO shop mule it's been on dozens of springers including a bunch of R1s. A few years ago it rolled off my 42" high work bench, landed it's objective bell on the concrete floor, folded the bell lip and still works. Can't kill the damn thing.

Full Disclosure, Hawke only recommends the Vantage line upto 12 fpe springers and I've angle corrected every gun that scopes been on. Barrel droop is what kills most springer scopes.

I believe that the Vantage scopes are springer rated to 12 fpe maximum. What does that tell you?
Yes, it's what Hawke says. What I posted above is from personal ownership/use of Vantage scopes. First rifle I bought getting back into shooting was a Hatsan Model 95 .25 caliber Vortex. First Hawke scope I ever bought was the Vantage 4-12x50 AOIR scope that 8 years later is still on that rifle and has never given me a single issue. Size is overkill for the rifle, but doesn't take away from the fact it still works and very well.
Others mileage may well vary and I'll never say there's not a chance a scope will fail, just that I've had very good luck with mine and have never needed to use Hawke's Lifetime Warranty for any of them and I own at least 15 to go along with 10 Airmax scopes and 3 Panoramas.
That Hatsan Model 95/Hawke scope I mentioned. Rifle will be 9 years old in April, the scope turns 9 in June...lol.

Today I ordered my forth Hawke scope and now believe, thanks to you all, will stand up on my springers. Just hate to spend more on a scope than the rifle cost. Since I only shoot mostly at shorter range these lower cost scopes work great for me. Charles

My Airmax scopes, although they cost more than the Vantage scopes do, still cost quite a bit less than the rifles they're on. Watch for good deals at places like Dvor and Cameraland and you can usually find the 2-7x32 and 3-9x40 Airmax scopes for at or under $200.
Just got a pair of the 3-9's during a Dvor sale and they were $179.99 each.
